The Planet POE‑172S is a versatile Ultra PoE splitter that enables you to power non‑PoE devices using a single PoE input while also providing a standard Gigabit Ethernet data connection. It’s ideal for situations where your network switch or injector supplies PoE but the device you’re connecting—such as a wireless access point, IP camera, VoIP phone, or media player—doesn’t natively support PoE power.

This splitter accepts PoE input (compatible with IEEE 802.3af/at and Ultra PoE sources) over the Ethernet cable and separates the power and data at the far end, delivering Gigabit Ethernet data through a standard RJ45 port while providing selectable DC output power of 12 V, 19 V, or 24 V via a DC plug. This flexibility makes it suitable for powering a wider range of devices with different voltage requirements without needing separate power adapters near each endpoint.
