Effective date: 16 August 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using this website or placing an order. By accessing webdirect.co.za ("the Website") or placing an order with Web Direct ("Web Direct", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("the CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("the ECT Act"), or any other applicable South African law.
Web Direct ("Web Direct", "we", "us", "our") is a close corporation registered in the Republic of South Africa under registration number 2006/167563/23.
VAT registration number: 4040254957.

Web Direct sells new and A-Grade Certified Refurbished consumer and business electronics, including refurbished, used and certified pre-owned laptops and computer equipment.
A-Grade Certified Refurbished Goods are pre-owned units (typically sourced from corporate off-lease fleets) that have been cleaned, tested for functionality, and inspected for cosmetic condition before resale. As Goods are refurbished, they may show minor, normal signs of prior use (light cosmetic wear) and battery performance on refurbished laptops may be lower than when the unit was new; any known condition-specific detail is disclosed on the relevant product page.
Product images, descriptions and specifications are sourced from manufacturers, distributors, or prepared by Web Direct, and are provided for guidance. We take reasonable care to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that descriptions, pricing, images or other content on the Website are error-free, complete or current. If a Good you receive materially does not match its advertised description, your rights under clause 8 and our Returns Policy apply.
Orders may be placed via the Website, telephone or email. Before finalising your Order on the Website, you will have the opportunity to review your order summary, correct any errors (including quantities and delivery details), and withdraw from the transaction before payment is made, as required by the ECT Act.
Once you submit an Order, we will send you an order confirmation by email. This confirmation acknowledges receipt of your Order; it does not, by itself, constitute our acceptance of the Order. A contract of sale is only concluded once we confirm that the Goods are available and payment has been received and has cleared in our account.
We may decline or cancel an Order — for example, where a Good is out of stock, priced in error, or where we reasonably suspect fraud — in which case any payment received will be refunded in full.
Delivery timeframes, areas and insurance are set out on our Shipping page. In summary: Goods are dispatched once payment has cleared, with a courier cut-off of 14:00 on working days. Typical delivery is 2-3 working days to main centres and 3-5 working days to regional and outlying areas, and Goods remain insured by Web Direct until signed for by the consignee.
Risk in the Goods passes to you on delivery (i.e. once signed for). Ownership of the Goods passes to you once payment has been received in full.
Please inspect Goods on delivery. If a parcel is visibly damaged, or the Goods received do not match your Order, please note this with the courier where possible and contact us within 48 hours — see our Returns Policy.
Every A-Grade Certified Refurbished laptop sold by Web Direct carries a Web Direct Warranty of either 1 or 2 years from date of delivery, as stated on the relevant product page.
New Goods are covered by the manufacturer's own warranty rather than the Web Direct Warranty. For a fault with a new item, please contact the manufacturer directly, using your Web Direct invoice as proof of purchase.
Defects in materials or workmanship arising under normal use, including hardware component failure not caused by misuse or external factors.
Full detail on how to make a warranty claim — whether a Web Direct Warranty claim on an A-Grade Certified Refurbished item, or a manufacturer's warranty claim on a new item — is set out in our separate Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any right you have under the CPA or the ECT Act. In particular (where you qualify as a Consumer / natural person as described in clause 2):
Full detail on how these rights work in practice — including how to request a return, who bears delivery costs, and refund timelines — is set out in our Returns Policy, which should be read together with these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and without limiting any right you have under the CPA, Web Direct's liability for any claim arising from the sale of Goods is limited to the purchase price of the relevant Goods. We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss (such as loss of profit or loss of data) arising from the use of Goods or the Website, except to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
The Website and its content are provided on an "as is" basis. We take reasonable steps to keep the Website accurate and available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
All content on the Website — including text, images, logos and layout — is owned by or licensed to Web Direct and is protected under South African copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce or reuse this content without our prior written permission.
Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is intended to be read together with, and forms part of, these Terms. We are committed to processing personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without prejudice to any right you have to refer a dispute to the National Consumer Commission, a consumer court, or an accredited industry ombud under the CPA.
We may update these Terms from time to time; the version published on the Website at the time you place an Order will apply to that Order. Material changes will be dated and posted on this page.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected] or (021) 712 3265.
